Our story
Chris Matos launched the company in Cary, NC in 2015, at a time when the Triangle was growing fast and skilled electrical contractors were harder to come by than they should have been. West Cary, Morrisville, Apex — neighborhoods were expanding, older homes were getting overhauls, and EV chargers were starting to appear in driveways across the area. Chris had the experience, and he had the approach: show up on time, communicate well, and do the job right the first time. He built a team around that same standard. Trucks went out stocked with over 3,500 parts, which meant fewer callbacks and more jobs finished in a single visit. The service menu expanded from basic panel work and wiring to EV charger installation, smart home automation, hot tub and spa electrical, and generator hookups.
The community took notice: Nextdoor named the team a Neighborhood Favorite in 2021, 2022, and 2023. What started as a small Cary operation now serves Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Research Triangle Park — and keeps growing every year.
A new name, the same crew
In 2026, Triad Electrical Services became Bee Bright Electrical. The old name was a holdover from an earlier chapter — it didn’t tell you much about who showed up at your door or what they were about. Bee Bright Electrical does. Bees are organized, industrious, and always where the work needs to be. That’s this crew. Every licensed electrician on the team brings that same steady drive to every job, whether it’s a lighting upgrade or a full home rewire. The name is new. Chris Matos still owns and runs the company. NC State Electrical Contractor License #U33329 is still active. And the team behind those 675+ five-star Google reviews is still showing up, doing the work, and picking up the phone.
